Just call us masochists, just as we are closing out one project we add some new ones. After going a few weeks and not making any progress on painting our kitchen we decided to hire a contractor to paint it and stain our deck. We figured that with the 2 kids and our schedule it is too impactive for us to try and do on the side. The good news is that we should be done within a week, the bad is another week of disheveled kitchen.
And of course yet again we are not happy with contractors. Our first contractor who did the kitchen did a pretty poor job with the floor (or his sub did anyway). So far he has not been responsive at fixing it. Seems like we are a magnet for disorganized, no attention to detail contractors.
enough house talk, on to the kids...
A couple weeks ago we applied for pre-Kindergarten for Audrey. Our local elementary school does not have it, so we applied to 3 other portland schools that are pretty close. The process is lottery, but the word of mouth has told us that the closest one "Chief Joseph Elementary" has openings. We should find out for sure in May. Pre-K is 5 days a week , 1/2 day . It will be great for Audrey (and Sarah) if she gets in. Also, easier on the wallet then preschool since it is free (or atleast my tax dollars are paying for it).
Jack is up to 17lbs. He eats so much that we decided to check what is normal on the web. It is not uncommon for Jack to eat 8-10 oz; according to my research at 3 months 6- 7 oz is normal.
Unfortunately, Jack has caught a cold yet again. He doesn't sound as bad as the last cold but he is very wheezy. It would take something dramatic for us to take him back to the hospital again, based on how ineffective out last visits were.
Today Sarah and the kids went to visit Jack's grammie and his 2 half-Brothers. It sounds like it was a nice visit and the boys sounded very nice. Hopefully, I will get a chance to meet up with them too.
I will add some more recent pictures of family and house soon
